Formula One is the highest class of auto racing defined by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motor sport's world governing body.

The FIA awards points to the top eight drivers and their respective teams of a grand prix/ At the end of the season, The FIA also awards a Driver’s Championship for the driver who accumulates the most points; and also a Constructor’s Championship for the team with the most points at the end of the season.
